Dr. Otávio Clark talks about new drugs to the newspaper O Globo
Dr. Otavio Augusto Camara Clark, director of Evidencias, gave an interview to the Brazilian newspaper O Globo, published in January 17th 2010, about the discrepancy between chemotherapy drugs’ costs and the amount pay by the government to the public hospitals. He also put in question the kind of medical attendance offered in the public health system. “The Brazilian Healthcare System pays a certain amount that must cover the whole treatment, including the drugs. Some kinds of drugs are not available to the patients”, said Clark. “The patient will not have the best possible treatment.”
